An interesting point about the http://www.timetravelfund.com site is that
they imply that they need 50,000 people to sign up, or at least 10,000 to
actually start investing.

It will be interesting to see if they ever achieve these numbers, given that
cryonics, whose non-zero but low chance of working is surely higher than TT,
has of the order of a tenth of the minimum signed up supporters.

I see no reason why someone should not sign for both -- maybe some people
will move onwards from TT to include cryonics. On the other hand, maybe
there are people out there who will get sufficient comfort during their
natural lives from TT never to advance to cryonics. I am not sure how the
balance stands.
