Yes!! That's just the kind of thing I was saying, though put in a 
different and perhaps more illuminating form. We cannot calculate
probabilities unless we know all the possible outcomes, which
for cryonics we simply don't ... even if cryonics becomes popular
enough before government steps in that the kind of regulations
you describe become politically impossible.

Why discuss this issue? Because it is a mistaken viewpoint which
takes away energy from actually trying to increase our probability
of success. And of course your own message is one more case of
just that.
