A contra argument to this is that fact that some people are willing to do
almost anything to "get in the news" or "get on the tv".

A cryonicist willing and capable of giving good interviews can "get on the
telly" far more easily than any other "member of the public". (ie apart from
people like sportsmen, actors, politicians and so on.)

Maybe this is how we could promote cryonics if we were totally cynical about
it:

Want to get on TV?

Sign up, and  you can easily make several appearances a year - even more if
you get an agent.
