X-Message-Number: 20289 Date: Sat, 12 Oct 2002 09:07:35 -0400 From: Thomas Donaldson <> Subject: CryoNet #20282 - #20288 For the question about ability to revive preceding ability to eliminate aging: First of all, there is no problem. If we can't revive someone to good health then there is no reason to revive them in the first place (given that no special circumstances, such as the need for someone's testimony in a trial existed --- after which they would be suspended again). Unlike normal medicine, there is no need to apply a technology just because it exists. However there is still another point to be made here: it may turn out not only possible but actually very likely that we can revive people before we can FULLY deal with their aging. After all, NONE of the present antiaging treatments envisioned can bring immortality. They just extend healthy lifespan. So after our revival we may well undergo further treatments to extend our lives still further. But that is hardly a problem. Best wishes and long long life for all, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=20289
