That is even true if it never works out and it is proven that it can
not work. That will leave future generations with a large stock of
extremely well preserved tissue samples from hundreds or thousands of
years ago.

And right now it focuses people on long term thinking and research
while helping with easing death angst.

Cryonics do not even need to work to be beneficial to our society.
