Subject: Kurzweil's diet

Based on the accounts I've read of Ray Kurzweil's diet, it sounds to me as
if he's yet another guy trying to reinvent Paleolithic nutrition, based as
it was on high-protein, low-glycemic foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids.

The problem is, our agriculturally modified crops & livestock have been
compromised in some bad ways, so adhering to such a diet from store-bought
foods is difficult, if not impossible. Wild fish populations in the oceans
are being depleted, while American deer & elk populations are now suspect
because a lot of them are infected with spongiform encephalopathy -- known
as mad cow disease in cattle, and Creuzfeld-Jakob disease in humans. And
where could they have gotten infected, if not from domestic cattle who share
their grazing grounds?

What's a hunter-gatherer to do?

It's not "religious" or "science fictional" if you can do it.
