Subject: CI's 44th Patient

As no one else has yet bothered to post here the URL to Ben Best's article
on Cryonics Institute's 44th cryopatient, here it is:

http://www.benbest.com/cryonics/toronto.html

The article is insightful though not too technical. The human limitations
on assisting with such operations, especially on a volunteer basis, are
covered particularly well.

This article cannot even be found on the website of Cryonics Institute, who
seem to be competing with Alcor these days in who can give out the least
information about what is going on. >>

I have just finished reading Ben Best's account on CI patient #44. Ben is to
be congratulated on his work along with all those who were involved in
Toronto. I am extremely impressed by his account, and, as another CI member
in a location somewhat remote from Michigan, I take some comfort in the
realization that it can be done, and done this well, especially with the kind
of dedicated and expert cooperation that CI is able to provide. I feel that
we are really moving forward and it is a great feeling. Ron Havelock
