Either it has or it hasn't. So what? What do I do differently
in either case? Lobby my Congressman? Choose different
investments? Change careers? Cancel my cryonics arrangements
(fat chance)? Learn tensor calculus? Worry? I think my
impatience with discussions of this kind comes from a feeling
that they spend an inordinate amount of time attempting to
answer questions whose answers are totally irrelevant to how I
live my life, and, what's more, failing.

I'm looking at a pile of bills to pay and wondering why people
engage in these sorts of woolgathering, navel-contemplating
arguments. If it's for entertainment, maybe you should get
out more. (end rant)
