X-Message-Number: 2096 Date: 11 Apr 93 22:57:34 EDT From: Charles Platt <> Subject: CRYONICS Rainforest species To: Cryonet Cryonicists may be passingly interested to note that The Economist (a weekly British magazine with substantial US and foreign sales) today published a relatively long editorial endorsing the idea of freezing endangered species in rainforests. No mention of where the idea originated. The concept of preserving life by freezing it is thus gaining wide distribution and respectable endorsements, which of course can only help cryonics in the long term. --Charles Platt [ Those who want more detail on this idea may want to read Gregory Benford's 25 KByte article 'Saving The Library Of Life'.
