The next meeting of the New York Transhumanist Association (NYTA) is this
Thursday, February 6. Our speaker will be Anatoly Nichvoloda, who will present a
theory of the origin and destiny of human consciousness. The meeting will begin
at 6:00 PM in the 6th floor conference room at 80 Broad Street in downtown
Manhattan.

Also, remember to mark your calendar for our one-day transhumanist symposium at
NYU. The symposium, titled "World Futures: The Science of Humanity in the Epoch
of Technology", will be from 4-10 pm on Friday, February 21. This event is
sponsored and organized by Colleges Against Cancer, with participation by NYTA.
You can learn more about the symposium at
http://incipientposthuman.com/symposium.htm.

The New York Transhumanist Association is an affiliated chapter of the World
Transhumanist Association, a nonprofit membership organization that works to
promote discussion of the possibilities for radical improvement of human
capacities using advanced technologies. Transhumanism is a growing movement
concerned with ethically expanding technological opportunities for people to
live longer and healthier lives, to enhance their intellectual, physical, and
emotional capacities, and to enjoy a future of expanded freedom and prosperity.
NYTA members meet on the first and third Thursdays of each month, from 6:00
until about 8:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend.

See you in the future!
