Am I the only one who doesn't assume that killing thousands of shopkeepers and peasants and destroying infrastructure are inevitable even if we decide to go in and get Saddam out of Iraq? Never mind that we made the Saddam mess and we seem to be the only crew tough enough to clean it up. (I admit that how clean it will be when we're done is quite unclear.) I'm not sure we need to go to war, but I'm not sure we don't, either, so I'm not participating in antiwar protests. The best advice I can think of is: keep your options open -- be prepared to go elsewhere if some other country starts looking better than the USA. But as long as you like it here better than anyplace else, don't stress yourself out getting mad about things you're not going to be willing and/or able to change -- it's bad for your health. -- May you live long and prosper, Kennita -- Kennita Watson | Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery; | None but ourselves can free our minds. http://www.kennita.com | -- Bob Marley, "Redemption Song" Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=21153
