Hello Rick, I think that you are confusing Keith Lynch's CryoNet archives with mine. He created extensive cross-reference lists that sound like the ones you recall. His priorities shifted to other projects sometime ago, though, so his CryoNet archives no longer are up-to-date. > A much easier way to read Cryonet than the digest-format > is to use the latest ARCHIVE page. > http://www.cryonet.org/0001211.html That file can be reached when browsing the archives from URL: http://www.cryonet.org/archives.html Browsing that way retrieves only one message at a time, whereas you seem interested in reproducing Keith Lynch's cross-reference by author. That information can be derived from message 0001 (not to be confused with message 1), which always contains a one-line description of _all_ the CryoNet messages. It is over 1.3 MB long, and continually growing, so I wouldn't recommend downloading it for casual reading. To make it more accessible, I just wrote a simple CGI script: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/findauthors.cgi for extracting a list of all authors of CryoNet messages on-the-fly. When clicking on the hyperlink for an author you will receive a list of all messages he or she posted to CryoNet. This "findauthors" script is not very bright; it thinks that "Richard Potvin" and "Rick Potvin" are different people, so you will need to click on both those hyperlinks to retrieve all the CryoNet messages you posted. Some other people have accumulated _several_ variations of their names over the years. > Before Cryonet had a digest format, ... CryoNet _always_ had a digest format. Several months ago I explored the option of porting it to a Mailman list, which would give each subscriber the option of receiving digests or receiving messages one-at-a-time. Unfortunately it was not possible to replicate all the important features of CryoNet with a Mailman list. Kevin Q. Brown PS: You always can reach me at: so when you have a question or request it's not necessary to post a message to the entire CryoNet list and hope that I read it, too. I'm also CC'ing this reply to CryoNet since you posted your query there and since other CryoNet readers may be interested in the "findauthors" script.
