Thought I would reprint the above since it is such a great posting.

I voted for Bush, the younger, not the senior.  

This is the first time in 5 elections I did *Not vote for the Libertarian 
candidate.  But I *really did not want Gore.  

And it turns out every vote made a difference.  Especially if you happen to 
live in Florida for the US 2000 election, where a razor thin margin of voting 
may or may not have been the deciding factor in who won the election.  (Note 
to posters...please don't open the can of worms re: contested election...not 
the point of the post or board.)

The point to this post is that I am truly dismayed by the direction the Bush 
administration is taking.  Both regarding Iraq and the fundamentalist agenda.

Banning ALL cloning, the Leon Kass "biodeathics" commission, and embracing 
enthusiastically cuts in personal freedoms to "fight terrorists" are all 
anathema to me...and probably to most thinking people on this list.
