What's up? I for one am interested in low-cost alternatives to cryonics, including plastination. What I read about it on the Web sounds rather brutal as to the procedure ("defatting" in particular--what might that do to the brain's delicately encoded information?) but I agree it should be evaluated. I'm also wondering if plastination (or some other alternative) could be handled using funeral personnel as intermediaries. Or if not, what would it take to set up an institution that would qualify, if individuals can't enlist the services directly? All this should definitely be looked into further. I have only a limited time budget, but hope others who are interested will put me on your mailing list. Mike Perry Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=21466
