X-Message-Number: 21497 Date: Sat, 29 Mar 2003 07:13:27 -0500 From: Thomas Donaldson <> Subject: CryoNet #21490 - #21494 To Bob Ettinger: Please remember that I did NOT say that cooperation would be easy, but that it would be beneficial. As usual in the world, beneficial things don't happen by themselves. Lots of work may be needed. And enough about GE. If the existing cryonics organizations try to grow more members, they will become larger and larger, and along the way obtain a virtually impregnable position as providers of suspension and storage. Who else has stored people for so long? If GE were to try to enter the field of cryonics, it would be open to the claim that it was a comparative newcomer and its ability to store patients long term, for as long as needed, was open to question. Even over 100 years GE has changed a lot, including its name. No business can succeed if its sole and only aim is profit: it also needs some idea of what its market wants and whether it can provide it. Best wishes and long long life for all, Thomas Donaldson Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=21497
