       I am glad to see Douglas get the credit he 
deserves. Although fruitful work is being done toward
vitrificaion without high pressure techniques, I still
think that all alternative techniques should still be
explored even if only theoretically by those who can 
afford to do so. Such techniques might just take us 
"over the top" when our fingers are finally gripping 
the edges. 

    By coincidence, I have just updated the page on my 
website dealing with High Pressure Cryonics and any 
who have seen it before might want to see my revised
version. It consists largely of discussion/debate on the
issue -- and I am impressed enough with what Igor has 
written that I have requested that I be allowed to add his
CryoNet message.
