If the concept of living for eternity is a frightening one, and yes it does
occur to me at times, then there really is only one other choice that I can
think of...being dead for an eternity. That concept seems to me to be far more
frightening. People who believe in heaven and hell already accept the idea that
they will exist for eternity, so what's the difference? Perhaps one of the most
uneasy concepts of the thought of eternal life, is eternal boredom. I have
solved this problem for myself anyways. I can simply remove parts of my
experiences from memory, then experience life over and over again with a degree
of naivitee and mystery. Obviously I would have to do that in a way that doesn't
affect my stream of conciousness as I perceive it. Who knows what one can think
of with enough time?
