About the cold room: I too happen to be a neuropreservation case (at least,
that's what I currently intend). If dewar storage caused significantly more
damage than storage at a higher temperature, I'd certainly choose the
higher temperature.

It seems to me that the basic idea of your design is fine, but you've been
spending too much time and effort on a facility much larger than we now
need. Can you rework your planning for something significantly smaller? I
know that the proportion of insulation to storage space will go up, and there
will be other changes (like a need for more LN2?) but I can't believe that your
basic design can't be downsized a good deal.

In other words, I second the suggestion that you change your design focus a
bit.
