As if you are coldly calculating whether your chances of survival would be maximized if you (1) overfund your suspension, (2) put extra funds into a trust, or (3) make it possible for a friend to survive so he/she can "stand by your side" and maybe improve your own chances. On purely humanitarian grounds I would strongly favor (3), but it strikes me that that is generally not an option.
