Maybe they could divide up the property, have a corporation on each side.
Have one corporation licensed as a funeral home, the other as a cemetery.
Of course, this does not address the real reason the state, or some
government functionary with a personal agenda, is meddling.  It may be that
whatever they apply for might get turned down.

What do other cryonics facilities do to avoid this problem?  Or is this
unique to Michigan?

Surely in Michigan there are facilities that store cadavers for medical
purposes.  What laws, if any, govern that?
