Subject: Alcor Daily News/Same Old CI

Just when we were afraid that Charles Platt's jumping ship would leave us
without *some* source of news about Alcor, the Arizona Republic seems to be
filling the void almost daily. Here's the latest article:

<http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepublic/local/articles/0912alcorgifts12.html>

If anyone on the Alcor board or management think this news source has the
wrong spin, they are certainly invited to provide Alcor's spin. Alas,
though, it seems they are lately more interested in holding secret meetings
and getting as many people as possible to sign non-disclosure
agreements. How long will Alcor members put up with this?

As for Cryonics Institute, their total silence in response to the recent
bureaucratic fracas in Michigan is only typical of what information they
normally provide regarding what is really going on in their organization.
