The Chinese Government has just approved a new form of gene therapy to
treat cancer. The technique is due to reach clinics early next year
making China the first country to use gene therapy outside of clinical
trials. Gareth Mitchell discusses the work and the implications of the
approval with expert Professor George Dickson of Royal Holloway
College, London.
