Since I don't understand that much about insurance, I have to ask for a few more clarifications. I accept your figures for term insurance for $150,000 for a healthy 40 year old male. I believe "term" insurance" means you are covered only for a certain period of time. I assume, in this case, till age 65. What happens after that? $240 in annual insurance payments over 20 years only totals $4,800 I also wonder how many people look into cryonics at a very young age. I suspect a lot of people don't look into it until they are may age, 65, and have to deal with a limited amount of time left in their lives. Perhaps you should have a more detailed presentation on these facts on Alcor's web site. Perhaps I missed it. In the past, I remember being dissuaded by the numbers involved. Finally, you say: >People spend 90 bucks on a reasonably good dinner out for their families. I >watch people at my local convenience store spend $3.00 on a pack of >cigarettes, a lotto ticket, or a few candy bars. These aren't the "diamonds and >limousines" crowd, Randy! Well, 90 bucks for a dinner out is bit daunting. I suspect most families spend about half that. On the other hand, you should watch smokers pay $7.00 for a pack of cigarettes in NYC. A lotto ticket and a few candy bars could bring that total to $15. I like your passion and interest in sloganeering. Perhaps I asked earlier, but wasn't there once the slogan: "Freeze! Wait! Reanimate!" Or was that the title of some article I read years ago? Randolfe H.
