Subject: Problems with Alcor making an official showing at the Frozen Dead Guy
Festival

I want to be clear that I have no problem with Kennita going a private

The reason I bring this up is television and print images. TV archives
collect images and once an image is in their archives you have very little
control over its use. TV stations and networks which are affilated can
share archive footage and what is important to remember that often images
are used with the original sound. Still photos in newspapers and magazines
have the same issue.

Fred, I admit you bring up an important point. This does not totally change my
mind about Alcor going, but now I tend to favor having the Society for Venturism
or another non-Alcor cryonics group put up a booth. This way Alcor can avoid
possible extra "media heat" while the cryonics message still gets out.

I think it could be exhausting for just one person to set up a booth and on
their own represent cryonics. Three people at a minimum is probably what we
need to get the job done. And perhaps Alcor and other organizations like the
Foresight Institute can donate posters and displays to help make things look
professional.
