Concerning David Pizer's demonstration that the Universe is eternal, even if we accept this (and I'm quite willing to do so), it doesn't mean that the conditions permitting life to exist within it will also last forever. An ever expanding Universe would progressively get more and more diluted, making it harder and harder for life to obtain the energy and resources it needs to survive. A recollapsing Universe would at some point become too hot and dense to allow life to exist. Anyone aspiring for immortality would eventually have to face one of those situations and find a way to survive it. Francois Duct tape is a lot like the Force, it has a Light and a Dark side and it binds the World together. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=23844
