Subject: FDGD name, mission, proto-planning
From: Kennita Watson <>

Hi, all --

Between sessions of gathering all the Cryonet input on
the Frozen Dead Guy Days project (69 Word pages),
I spent a while thinking about possible names for an
organization that would handle PR for something like
FDGD. When I tried to think of some alternatives to
ELF ("Extended Life Foundation", as suggested by
Mike Read), I came up with

PICKLE -- Popularizing Increased Cryonics Knowledge
and Life Extension

CIRCLE -- Circulating Information Regarding
Cryonics and Life Extension

CLEAN -- Cryonics and Life Extension Activism Network

ICICLE -- Involving Communities In
Cryonics and Life Extension

and, from email:
The Cryonics Consortium
The Cryonactivists

Anyone who wants to offer other names, feel free.

As a placeholder for whatever name is finally chosen,
How about "Project Reframe" -- as in reframing the
public's perception of cryonics (possible, affordable,
desirable, ethical...)?

The goal of Project Reframe is to reshape the public's
perception of cryonics (and related life-extending
technologies) through face-to-face contact and
print and other media.

Project Reframe's initial project in pursuit of that goal
is the planning and execution of a presence at the
March 2005 Frozen Dead Guy Days festival in
Nederland, CO.

I'm going back to consolidate, categorize, and further
filter the input I've gotten so far. I hope to be back with
a progress report in a couple of weeks, depending how
snowed under I get with my Press Release and Marketing
Plan homework, and with reading my Project
Management book.

Live long and prosper,
Kennita
