No general consensus emerged although no strong objections were raised (due in part to our distance from events and lack of on-the-spot information). Some felt that the wording on the ballot was blatantly prejudiced and didn't look like a genuine request for feedback. 3.2 Publicity The BBC are rescreening the popular "Scarfe on Paradise" episode which features us. Also Esquire and Options magazine are soon to feature cryonics. 3.3 Newsletter Martin Bays raised a number of issues on the legality of cryonics in the UK which need to be addressed in a newsletter, so that new members are aware of the problems. At present it's not clear to new members how legal hitches will be handled. Garret will draw up a draft newsletter (which could also form part of a general mailshot) and send a copy to Michael. 1[8]93/GS Garret to email Michael the newsletter. 4 Any Other Business 4.1 The next AUK meeting will be held at the facility near Eastbourne at 11:00am on the 5th of September 1993. 4.2 The barbecue was a tasty success, thanks to the hosts Andrew and Trisha. Some members ate so much they were almost ill!
