Typically, one declares independence from something or someone. Since 
one major point in cryonics is that death is a process that can be 
arrested, this sends the wrong message.

As a number of persons have suggested, a celebration would best match 
up with a preexisting one at an appropriate natural time of the year. I 
don't see how a declaration of independence is the appropriate model.

Physical Immortality is the house organ of a Church. A declaration of 
independence would presumably indicate a split from a mother 
organization. Lacking this angle, I don't see that it makes any sense.

The end of the text seems along the lines of the earlier proposed 
"Life-Pact".
