People have been being "revived" for decades if not centuries, and I don't recall the Church complaining. Usually they are joyful, and praise God for allowing it. And if you analyse the word re-vive (where vive means "live", as in Vive l'amor) it clearly means to restore to life or return from death. Granted nobody who was ever revived was ever "really" dead, the word and the idea behind it have some historical strength. It's the standard way of expressing the concept. Religion always opposes intervention in the will of God, but eventually comes to accept each medical advance it originally opposed. My intelligent Christian friends are not much upset by cryonics, thought there are always fanatics opposed to everything.
