Subject: Fantastical Physics and 'Wetware'
From: <>

Dear Matthew,

string
theory has to offer?"

There can be no FTL communication. Any string theory proposing such
would have to be rejected on grounds that it fails well-established
and pervasive theories of modern physics.

If my theory pans out, we are all invisible pink unicorns who will
magically return to our true form upon death and reunite in an
everlasting fairy-tale land far, far away.

If you are willing to consider my survival your survival, you can
just blow your brains out now and stop worrying about the future
altogether.

Of course, my survival is not your survival, and a duplicate or
emulation of you is not you. You live in a dream world, Matthew.

Best Regards,

Richard B. R.
