Subject: The Insanity of it All
From: <>

I have to make a comment:

Apparently, Thomas thinks he can DEFINE himself into surviving, by
CHOOSING an appropriate definition of continuity?!?

This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.

You can define continuity in any way you like, so that you
'survive' even if the universe implodes. That doesn't mean you will
survive in the sense that your subjective inner life will continue.
It only means you will 'survive' in the sense implied by your
definition of continuity.

I tire of these games people play with themselves to make
themselves feel good about their prospects for true survival. It is
better to just accept the facts of reality, unless perhaps doing so
would cause you to kill yourself or otherwise lose all hope and
happiness in life. In which case, go ahead and cling to your
fantasies, but don't spread them. Keep them to yourself so you
won't infect others with your disease.

It is amazing to me how, people think if they use the word 're-
assemble' or 're-create', that somehow proves they will survive
being blown to bits, if someone only follows a blueprint of their
brain. Hint: there is no such thing as 're-creating'. Only
creating. If someone creates a brain from a blueprint, that brain
won't be yours. Don't count on your magical essence doing a magical
jump into the new 'host'. It won't happen.

Best Regards,
