Some of Kennita's ideas are quite charming. "Slogan buttons" were my first
business venture in the mid 1960s. You really don't know what will sell till
you have the product.

In the old days, you had to invest in 500 or 1,000 slogan buttons to get them
produced. The "cost" came in getting them into production. Producing just 100
cost nearly as much as 500.

Today, however, they have "button-making machines". You can design and print
out buttons one at a time or in small quantities. Some student groups do this
and end up with a variety of slogans. The machines cost around $400. Blank
badge backings, etc. aren't that expensive.

Selling buttons produced in this way at $1 or $2 each would recoup the initial
investment pretty quickly. If you found certain buttons were "hot" sellers,
then you could go into commercial production with batches of 500 and/or 1,000.

A slogan I personally would like, but one that would baffle most people, would
simply say: "Vitrify Me!"
