Subject: Choosing cryonic organization

When it came to deciding on my preferred choice in cryonics organization I
became very conservative.

To me, the biggest danger with cryonics isn t finding new technology that
can repair the damage to my body it is finding an organization that I can
trust to keep me frozen for the century or so it will take to get there.

IMHO, look at the history, stability and reliability of each cryonic
organization and then make up your mind

Greetings!

Although I have been intending to live forever via cryonics since I was
fifteen, I have not yet signed up to be frozen... largely because of
budgetary constraints (I was a grad student until 2003) and the lack of
international support (I lived in Japan half time from 1998 till 2003).

This year I will turn thirty and I intend to sign up to be frozen before
then. The money is no longer an issue and the international travel is
less frequent than it used to be.

Which begs the question: Who should I sign up with? Alcor? Cryonics
Institute? Somebody else???

As a scientist, I would like to look at success rates to determine the
best organization to join. Unfortunately, there are no success rates yet
-- no cryonics patients have been revived to date.

Therefore, I am asking this list for opinions, not so much on who to go
with, but on what criteria y'all would advise one to use in making this
decision.

Thank you very much for sharing your collective wisdom.

=>Matthew
