Subject: Frozen Dead Guy Days, a few thoughts

My thanks to Kennita for attending the festival,
I hope that more cryonisists will attend next year,
and that sometime in the future
an annual cryonic conference can be organized in Nederland
the weekend after the festival each year,
so that cryonisists can come early for the festival too,

and local festival participants can stay late or come back for the conference
too.

About 7000 people attended the 3 day festival this year, according to a Colorado
newspaper,

and in spite of lots of snow falling between Saturday and Sunday, reducing the
crowds on the festival's last day.

The festival got prior coverage earlier this year
by the Tonight show with Jay Leno,
The CBC Sunday morning show,
Associated press,
BBC,
The London Guardian,
The Sunday Herald in Edinburough Scotland
Dagbladet in Oslo Norway,
Sunset magazine,
The Sun,
A variety of radio stations from around the world,
The Boulder Daily Camera,
Boulder magazine,
The Mountainear,
The CU college newspaper,
and other local Colorado newspapers and radio stations.
--
The festival weekend was covered by
Belgian Tv De Wereld,
Norwegian state run radio and Tv,
London Sunday Telegraph,
Time Magazine,
Dagbladet from Oslo Norway,
The Denver post,
The Boulder Daily Camera,
The Mountainear,
The Colorado Daily,
and other local Colorado newspapers and radio stations,
etc. etc.

The above is just a partial list, consisting mostly of media that I and my
mother have spoken to,
or that were listed in the festival program 1 week ahead of the festival.
Festival organizers have been interviewed by many other media as well.

At least 53 people paid usd 25 to usd 35 (with champagne) to tour grandfather's
Tuff shed.

My mother got a visa at the last moment, and did attend the festival as guest of
honor.
At the festival dinner she gathered more than 100 signatures on a petition

asking the federal authorities to grant us US citizenships, so that we can
return and complete
our cryonics facility.

The petition drive was organized at the last moment
and will be a part of the printed program for next year's festival.

Everyone had a good time,

and both Kennita, my mother and I got a chance to speak about cryonics to a
variety of media outlets.

Norwegian state run radio will run a 1 hour radio program later thus fall

about my mother's visit to the festival, the festival, my frozen grand father
and our facility.

The same producer wants to make a 30 minute TV program about the same topics
too.

This is the same reporter who made the 8 minute portrait of me, that aired in 15
European countries last year
as part of the City folks series.

Sincerely

Trygve Bauge
