	I see the public accepting cryonics when someone can prove that it
works.  No one has been able to do that so far.  Until that happens, we are
asking people to commit tens of thousands of dollars on a long shot (life
insurance not withstanding).  Most people won't do that because they can
think of better and more productive things to do with their money.  I know
several people who have said to me they are not interested in cryonics for
that reason.  They also said they would be interested if they could be shown
that it works.  If someone managed to freeze and then revive a small mammal
(mouse or rat), that would be a proof of concept.  As soon as anyone manages
to do that, it will be a lot easier to get people to sign up.
