"Niche area" is the space in which a group of animals of a particular
specie live. Such area for mice is probable less than 1000 ft. For elephants
it may be over fifty miles. The niche area sets will overlap. The PAI will
be less in these overlapped areas. Over a long period of relative time (
maybe 100,000 generations) the animals in these low PAI areas will develope
longer lives.
Since aging is the result of a highly controlled and fine tuned program
on the genes (thus the DNA) it can not be modified by simple techniques such
as the use of free radical scavengers. One has to modify the actual program
without killing the animal. This can only be done with carefully chosen
pieces of anti-sense.
