They say that it exists whether you like it or not, but you will get a better quality of eternal life if you join their particular brand. Can anyone name one religion that says people will be annihilated if they do not join? If anything, they say that they "burn in hell" if they do not join. However I expect that that particular sort of rhetoric is not politically correct these days. Cryonics service providers don't promise a *certainly* of immortality (or even indefinite lifespan) to those that join. All they offer is a chance that this might happen, and point out that the chance is much nearer zero for any alternative procedure when current medical science gives up. Articles exist putting numbers into this, as can be found on cryonics web sites, but no one, however mathematically gifted, can be sure of the future or indeed the true nature of consciousness or reality. -- Sincerely, John de Rivaz: http://John.deRivaz.com for websites including Cryonics Europe, Longevity Report, The Venturists, Porthtowan, Alec Harley Reeves - inventor, Arthur Bowker - potter, de Rivaz genealogy, Nomad .. and more Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26414
