Not quite; since illusions are all we have, they do
matter. My point was that the whole identity &
survival issue is highly subjective, fuzzy and
arbitrary. It has more to do with emotions (what
'feels right') than with hard facts. Ergo, this debate
is quite futile -- we might as well be arguing over
how many angels can dance on the head of a pin, or how
many pins can dance on the heads of angels for that
matter. It's all pointless mental masturbation. Let's
just agree to disagree, and leave it at that.
