I believe they are Alcor members, but apparently are not satisfied with Alcor standby. They think SA can do better." This is speculation. I encourage anyone who has questions about Suspended Animation, its financing, its contractual arrangements, or other similar issues, to contact me directly via email. I always respond to inquiries. "The reason seems to be that Alcor insists on total control, while CI is willing to be flexible at the member's choice. (For example, as I understand it, Alcor will not store someone who is prepared by another organization." This again is speculation, and is not correct. In the 1990s Alcor accepted two former CryoCare patients who had been cryopreserved by a completely independent organization. In addition some Alcor cases were performed in conjunction with Suspended Animation at a time when the departure of Fred and Linda Chamberlain left Alcor less prepared to handle cases than it is now. --Charles Platt Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26727
