This week in the New York Times Regards, David C. Johnson ___________________ August 16, 2005 Building a Virtual Microbe, Gene by Gene by Gene By CARL ZIMMER In the uploading serie, I have described the mathematical tools used in biological simulation. Here, it seems that project starts with very basic molecular models. This is used mostly today to see a single big molecule, here a full bacterium would be simulated by that technology, this is a really giant step. If that can be done, the next step would be a complete eucaryote cell such a neuron. The complexity would be two or three order of magnitude larger, but it could be undertaken in the coming ten years. Anyway, thanks for that information. Yvan Bozzonetti.
