Getting and publishing veritable and consistent
numbers, is a good thing.  You can't establish
a trend without data points.  And I prefer looking
up membership numbers on one page to going to a
bunch of Web sites.

There may be bad things that are coming along with
the good thing, but let's not throw out the baby
with the bathwater.
