You got my point about the importance of time and timing in computers.
Thanks muchly. 

I will add that (even though we haven't gotten there yet) we will 
find a speed limit for single processors, so that we can't even for
math problems with answers which need not arrive soon, get a processor
which can solve them in any practical time --- while many processors
working together could do so. And as you may have guessed, it's very
important that our brains work like parallel processors rather than
sequential ones.
