This supposedly well intentioned initiative does of course have the potential to stir a negative reaction, ultimately setting a precedent that could adversely affect the application of cryopreservation procedures on human beings not only in Oregon but in other states. (The precedent established in Michigan, where The Cryonics Institute was deprived of its ability to perform some types of procedures in-house, was cited by hostile legislators in Arizona.) For an individual to pursue this kind of battle without legal representation or advice seems crazy to me, and potentially self-destructive. > Message #26976 > Date: Thu, 8 Sep 2005 11:06:09 -0500 > From: Jonathan Despres <> > Subject: I can provide a stability and a long term relationship to Alcor > > If the board of director elect me as CEO of Alcor I can provide a > stability and a long term relationship with Alcor. > > I would need to know who will vote for me so that I can contact them, > if you want to help you are the welcome. Does this unfortunate person still not understand the voting procedure established in the Alcor bylaws? Only directors may vote for directors; so, what is the point of flooding this list with inarticulate self-promotion? Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=26981
