Hi Ralph:

In all reason, from the description of the Xerox PARC talk on the lifespan of
fruitflies, it doesn't look like this guy is thinking very hard (in an 
ACTIVIST) way about the subject. It looks like he may not have much information
to convey to an informed cryonicist. 

Though the description of the talk does raise some interesting issues. He
speaks of the "lifespan of human beings" as if to say that someone who lived
for 200 years could not be a human being (ie. lifespan is a trait which 
describes human beings in the same way as being bipedal, having a head on the
shoulders, being mammalian, etc etc etc). So listening to his talk might be
quite interesting in different way than he intends. Hmm.
