X-Message-Number: 27181 From: "Jordan Sparks" <> Subject: Cryonic Suspension vs Cryopreservation Date: Sat, 8 Oct 2005 18:54:50 -0700 I was emailed off list with an good reply. I was pointed to the definition of cryopreservation at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryopreservation. So cryonics has adopted the established scientific term from cryobiology. And it seems that this has happened as a result of cryonicists getting involved with actual scientific research. It also makes more sense because it does not imply that it's reversible. I'll use cryopreservation. I was just curious about the change.
