X-Message-Number: 27208 Date: Thu, 13 Oct 2005 22:24:26 -0600 From: Subject: Thanks, Brian Wowk, For the Example Within minutes of my posting the idea that the Boards of Directors of Alcor and CI might consider an Oversight Board and meeting to work out standards, and pointing out that "there are people out there who think their particular organization is the only one that matters, so why bother with any outside stuff," Brian Wowk posted an example of exactly what I was talking about. If some of the issues Wowk mentioned are indeed still differences between Alcor and CI, it could only help things for the parties to sit down together and discuss them. Find common ground, and implement the standards that both agree should be met. Every detail such as the cooling rate and the perfusion chemicals used does not have to be included in such a set of standards. Hopefully, Brian Wowk will reconsider being one of the set of people "who think their particular organization is the only one that matters." Besides, if one party has a "better idea" and can prove it, the other party might learn something. Rate This Message: http://www.cryonet.org/cgi-bin/rate.cgi?msg=27208
