Subject: We want the SIMPLEST possible to start

To those interested in a common cryonics board:

Given the workload involved, I will repeat what I said before. We should
start by creating something as simple as possible, with a constitution
as simple as possible.

Fundamentally, any common board should not be interested in the details
of storage but in the more fundamental question of whether or not a
cryonics suspension organization is defrauding those who use its
services. What happens to the money a patient or a member pays the
organization? What happens also to someone who is suspended by an
organization (ie. will their funding last indefinitely)?

I will point out that these questions ought to be answerable by any
legitimate cryonics organization independently of the differences
between Alcor and CI.

AS to whom should serve on such a board, given that it's simple,
an officer of each society (not necessarily the President, but
CERTAINLY someone signed up with each society as full member) might
serve on such a board.

I say this not because I think that the other ideas will never
become implemented but as a way to START small.

Best wishes and long long life for all,

                 Thomas Donaldson

PS: Flavonoid in a separate message to me pointed out that I
probably meant not "Stocks" but Sparks as the origin of the basic
idea. He's correct.
