This is an excellent idea, one I've posited myself and since read on
the websites of other cryonicists.

It is funny to think that if you believe cellular clusters like
xygotes are persons, then cryonics has already worked, as embryos are
routinely brought back to functioning life.

However:

Talk in terms of frozen souls aligns cryonics too closely with
religion. It would be best for cryonics to try to remain as free from
ideology as possible (hard for the libertarians I know) so that it can
be more easily accepted as an experimental medical technology - or in
this case, a willing and compassionate storage facility.

No need to make overtures to religious ideas, people who want their
embryos stored will be interested in that alone - no need for
ideological frills.

And if parents are indifferent to embryonic survival, perhaps we can
ask pro-life organisations to put their money where their mouth is?

Otherwise your posts and research are proving very interesting. Has
there been any response from Alcor or CI on this?
