Given their widespread and expanding use, this characterization is  
inadequate.

Blogs have a disproportionate political effect and they are scanned  
automatically by programs trying to determine 'mood' on the Net.

If you wish to have an impact, you need to develop a reputation as a

This is what makes blogs superior to lists. You only subscribe to  
persons you want to read.

I have kill filed "Phil Ossifur", so I don't see the messages, but as  
soon as he comes up with a new name I will have to do it again. The  
failure to certify identity is a defect of the List.
