        I think Leonard is absolutely right.  A plain text version of 
technical reports (perhaps even just an abstract) should be sent to 
the open net, and a uuencoded postscript version of the entire 
document including embedded graphics should be posted to a CRYOMSG 
archive.  Posting and retrieving such documents would be a trivial 
exercise for all concerned.  Mike, I'll bring you a PC uuencode 
program when I visit in August.

[ Brian, now I'm a little confused.  Aren't postscript files always
  ASCII files?  If so, then uuencode will not be needed for them. - KQB ]
